Sharon and the Team

The Team at the Bulls Head - Monyash

The Bull's Head is a freehouse and proud of it.

Sharon Barber has had her name over the door for over two decades now; the pub and restaurant are a testament to her dedication, expertise and hard work.  It has been a proper family effort, though, with design and planning input from her architect father, Brent and invaluable support of all kinds from husband Neville, whose cheerful presence is often to be encountered watering the flowers or helping pull a pint at the bar.

Sharon's particular expertise is evident in the kitchen, which is why you may not meet her in person, perhaps, but experience her creativity and generosity through the quality of her dishes.

Carefully picked staff add to the sense of an efficiently run establishment, managing to remain very friendly while maintaining the highest of standards in all departments.

Until fairly recently The Bull's Head also offered bed and breakfast accommodation, but with Sharon and Neville's growing family needing more space, those days have come to an end.  Nevertheless, we can put you in touch with some excellent places to stay, both in the village and a little beyond – you only have to ask.   The Old Smithy next door serves legendary breakfasts – everything from a Full English to a filled Derbyshire Oatcake, so you need never go hungry in Monyash, from morn until night.
